Job description
As a Mechanical Engineer at EuroSort, you are responsible for realizing the mechanical scope of advanced sorting systems for a diverse customer base. You design 3D models of sorting machines, make customized parts for specific projects, and set up assemblies with standard products. You also contribute to improvement projects and keeping project standards up-to-date.
You will work within a project team with other Mechanical Engineers and a Project Coordinator, ensuring that mechanical drawings are completed on time, meet quality requirements and stay within budget, so that projects are delivered smoothly and on schedule. During the supply and realization phase you will support the Work Preparation, Production, Installation and Commissioning departments, acting as a knowledge carrier for the components designed and supplied by the department.
You are part of the Projects department, which consists of Project Coordinators and Engineers. This department is managed by the Manager Projects, and you report to the Head of Engineering.

Job requirements
- A completed mbo education (level 4) or college education in mechanical engineering or mechatronics, and/or experience in mechanical engineering
- Experience with CAD software such as Inventor, Vault or Solidworks
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA)
- Understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
- Experience with functional design of components
- Good command of the Dutch and/or English language both verbally and in writing
- Strong communication skills, solution oriented and cost conscious
- Enthusiasm, eager to learn and a real team player
