Technical Product Manager

  • Hybrid
    • 's-Graveland, Noord-Holland, Netherlands
  • €4,500 - €6,000 per month
  • Product Engineering

As a Technical Product Manager, you are responsible for managing, standardizing, and further developing part of the Eurosort product portfolio.

Job description

You understand how mechanics, electrical engineering, PLC software, sensors, and documentation come together to create one complete product. You don’t just think about how something is built, but more importantly, why it is designed the way it is.

As a Technical Product Manager, you are the technical owner of part of the Eurosort product portfolio. You ensure that our products are not only technically sound, but also commercially viable, manufacturable, installable, serviceable, and future-proof.

You are the link between technology, product development, and the business. You connect disciplines such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, PLC/Automation, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Service, and Sales. You create structure, maintain oversight, and ensure that product information, ownership, and product changes are properly managed.

You are not the person who designs every individual component yourself. You are the person who defines how the product evolves.

What do we offer:

  • A gross monthly salary between €4,500 and €6,000, depending on your knowledge and experience.

  • A performance bonus of up to 150% of your gross monthly salary.

  • 30 vacation days per year (based on full-time employment).

  • An excellent pension plan, with Eurosort covering 70% of the pension contribution.

  • Travel allowance of €0.25 per kilometer for commuting and €0.35 per kilometer for business travel.

  • A company laptop and phone.

  • Plenty of opportunities for training and professional development.

  • Flexible working hours and the possibility to work partly remotely.

  • Working within an international organization with short communication lines, a high level of responsibility, and plenty of room for your own initiative.

What will you do?

As a Technical Product Manager, you are responsible for managing, standardizing, and further developing part of the Eurosort product portfolio.

You will work on a wide range of products and modules within our sorting systems, including:

  • Conveyor and transport systems.

  • Identification systems.

  • Weighing and volume measurement systems.

  • New innovations contributing to the next generation of sorting solutions.

You are responsible for managing the complete product lifecycle and ensuring that all disciplines work together toward one integrated end product.

As the technical owner of your portfolio, your responsibilities include:

  • Developing and managing modular products and standards.

  • Translating market and customer requirements into technical concepts.

  • Coordinating changes across mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, PLC/software, and technical documentation.

  • Managing product functionality, cost price, manufacturability, lead times, serviceability, and backward compatibility.

  • Creating and maintaining product specifications, design rules, and product standards.

  • Organizing and facilitating design reviews, functional testing, and product validation.

  • Ensuring product information is properly maintained within Vault PDM, Ridder ERP, and technical documentation systems.

  • Supporting Sales with technical challenges and developing customer-specific solutions.

  • Monitoring market developments and competitor solutions to continuously improve the product portfolio.

  • Aligning with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Service, Engineering, and external suppliers throughout the entire product lifecycle.

In this role, you will have a significant impact on further professionalizing the Eurosort product portfolio. You will help drive the transition from primarily mechanical products toward fully integrated mechatronic solutions and ensure that our products are developed in a scalable and future-oriented way.

Job requirements

You are someone who understands technology and gets energy from connecting people, disciplines, and products.

You don’t need to be the expert in every technical field, but you have enough knowledge of mechanics, electrical engineering, and industrial automation to ask the right questions, make informed decisions, and guide technical choices.

Additionally, you bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree (HBO) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Several years of relevant experience within machine building, industrial automation, or system development.

  • Experience with product development, systems engineering, technical product management, or a similar coordinating technical role.

  • Knowledge of mechanical constructions and basic knowledge of PLC systems, sensors, and industrial automation.

  • Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams.

  • Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to problem-solving.

  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.

Experience with Inventor, Vault PDM, and Ridder ERP is a plus.
