As a Cost Engineer at EuroSort, you are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of our internal cost pricing. You analyze, advise, and optimize cost structures to safeguard the profit margins of our project quotations and service parts. Internal project reporting also relies heavily on your cost estimates. Whether it's project costing, service pricing, or inventory valuation—you're in control of the numbers and their strategic impact within the organization.
EuroSort is growing fast and committed to continuously improving and professionalizing our processes. In this role, you’ll be given the space to shape the position of Cost Engineer together with your manager. That’s why we’re looking for someone who thrives on learning and taking initiative.
You’ll be part of the close-knit, driven Business Intelligence & Control team, working alongside a project controller, data scientist, and data analyst. You'll also collaborate daily with departments such as Finance, Procurement, Service, and Sales. This is a dynamic role where you don’t just work with data, you also play a role in guiding strategic decisions.
Your Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update standard cost prices
Compare purchase data with project costs to identify variances
Apply annual price indexations in the ERP system
Support Sales and Service in determining selling prices
Identify trends and provide recommendations for improving internal cost structures
Collaborate with Finance on inventory valuation and cost price analysis
Continuously assess and improve cost control methods
Contribute to internal improvement projects across EuroSort
Assist with month-end and year-end closing when needed
Participate in the development of dashboards and reporting tools
Job requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within manufacturing or engineering
Knowledge of standard costing methods and transfer pricing
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Ridder IQ)
Interest in working with Power BI
Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel
High level of accuracy combined with a strong sense of the bigger picture
Ability to collaborate across departments and turn data into action
Strong command of both Dutch and English
