Project manager Service

As a Project Manager Service, you are involved in the entire process of international service projects. You coordinate adjustments, upgrades, and expansions of existing sorting systems and ensure customer wishes are translated into concrete solutions. You work closely with colleagues from different disciplines. Together, you ensure projects are well prepared, executed, and delivered to the customer.

What you will do

You are the link between the customer and our internal organization. You lead the project team and make sure everyone knows what needs to be done. From the initial preparation to delivery, you are responsible for the overview and ensuring all parts of the project fit together well.

You translate the customer's wishes into clear technical and functional specifications and coordinate these with engineering, work preparation, and other involved departments. You also support the account manager in preparing quotes for service projects, additional work, and expansions. Once a project starts, you organize the kick-off, prepare the schedule, and monitor progress, milestones, budgets, and project margins.

You work closely with various disciplines such as engineering, work preparation, planning, purchasing, and commissioning. You ensure everyone has the right information and oversee the coherence between different components and subsystems. You also maintain contact with the customer. You discuss technical specifications, keep the customer informed of progress, and coordinate any changes and approvals timely.

You work on multiple projects at the same time, ranging from small adjustments to existing machines to larger upgrades and expansions. Sometimes you visit customers on location, mainly outside the Netherlands. The combination of technology, customer contact, and leading different disciplines makes this role varied. You have the space to organize projects independently and contribute visibly to the results.

We are looking for a project manager who easily switches between technology, commerce, and organization. You do not have to work out all technical details yourself but understand technical solutions broadly and can communicate well about them with engineers, colleagues, and customers.

Besides that, we expect you to bring the following:

• You have HBO work and thinking level, preferably in a technical field.

• You have proven experience with project management or project coordination.

• You have an affinity with technology. Experience in machine construction, logistics, or industrial automation is a plus.

• You are communicatively strong and master the English language excellently, both verbally and in writing. Other languages are a plus.

• You are proactive, flexible, and have an eye for detail.

• You are a real team player and connect different disciplines.

• You take responsibility, keep overview, and dare to make decisions.

• You are willing to travel internationally when projects require it.
