As a Project Work Planner, you ensure that procurement, material availability, and production preparation are well aligned.

Job description

At EuroSort, we work on international projects involving various components, materials, and departments coming together. As a Project Work Planner, you ensure that procurement, material availability, and production preparation are well aligned. You oversee multiple projects simultaneously, identify bottlenecks, and ensure that colleagues know what to expect.

You don't need to know everything upfront. What's most important to us is that you take initiative, can work independently, and thrive on organizing, coordinating, and problem-solving.

As a Project Work Planner, you act as the link between procurement, engineering, and production. You make sure the right materials are available on time, the necessary information is accurate, and production can start at the right moment.

You work on multiple projects simultaneously, from large sorting machines for international clients to smaller modifications and service orders. Each project has its own schedule, materials, and challenges. Sometimes there are delays in deliveries, parts don't meet requirements, or the engineering plan changes. You keep track of everything, set priorities, and work with colleagues to find solutions.

You have frequent interactions with various departments and suppliers. It's important not only to identify potential issues but also to clearly communicate what is feasible and what actions are needed to keep the project on track.

What we offer

  • A gross monthly salary between € 3,000 and € 3,750, depending on your knowledge and experience (based on 40 hours per week).

  • A performance-based bonus scheme that can reach up to 150% of your gross monthly salary.

  • 30 vacation days per year based on a full-time position.

  • A pension scheme where EuroSort reimburses 70% of your pension contribution.

  • A travel allowance of € 0.25 per kilometer for commuting.

  • Opportunities for further development through training and courses.

  • A varied role with extensive interaction with different departments, directly contributing to the progress of our projects.

  • A team where colleagues support each other and where there is room for initiative.

What you will do

As a Project Work Planner, you ensure that projects are well-prepared for production. Your tasks include:

  • Checking bills of materials: verifying the correctness of the required materials and parts and identifying missing or incorrect information.

  • Coordinating procurement: monitoring materials and lead times, entering procurement data in Ridder, and coordinating with Procurement and suppliers as needed.

  • Monitoring material planning: tracking when materials are needed in Excel and ensuring deliveries align with the production schedule.

  • Preparing for production: scheduling production slots, processing work orders and production hours, and verifying readiness with supervisors before starting.

  • Monitoring multiple projects: overseeing various machines and service orders, each with its own schedule and priority.

  • Resolving bottlenecks: whether a part is missing, something is rejected, or a supplier is behind schedule, you bring the right people together to find a suitable solution.

  • Coordinating with internal departments: collaborating with Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, Production, Quality, Dispatch, and Finance, among others.

  • Providing administrative follow-up: addressing procurement inquiries and ensuring project information and agreements are well-maintained.

You are not a passive planner who just updates a list. You identify problems, take action, and address when a schedule is not feasible. You consider lead times, production capacity, available storage space, and project costs.

Job requirements

We are primarily looking for someone who excels in organizing, works independently, and remains composed when plans change. A technical education is not mandatory; you can learn a lot on the job. Your way of working and communicating makes the difference.

  • You take initiative and don't wait for instructions.

  • You can work independently while staying connected with your colleagues.

  • You maintain an overview when multiple projects and tasks require attention simultaneously.

  • You can prioritize and quickly adapt when the situation demands it.

  • You stay calm and solution-oriented when facing delayed deliveries or unexpected issues.

  • You are clear about what is feasible and what is not, setting boundaries constructively.

  • You communicate effectively with various departments and can align people.

  • You work meticulously and enjoy keeping schedules, data, and agreements up to date.

  • You have sufficient proficiency in Dutch and English to communicate with colleagues and suppliers.

Experience in a similar planning, procurement, or coordinating role is a plus. Also, an affinity with technology, the ability to read simple technical drawings, and experience with an ERP system like Ridder IQ are advantages. More importantly, you should be eager to learn and quickly adapt to new systems and methods.
