Job description
As a QHSE Officer at EuroSort, you are responsible for maintaining and developing standards in quality, health, safety, and environment (QHSE). In this role, you ensure the registration and coordination of reported deviations, securing follow-up. This involves implementing and improving policies and procedures to ensure EuroSort continues to meet legal requirements and standards within the machine construction sector. You conduct risk assessments and safety audits aimed at identifying and controlling potential hazards. Additionally, you play an active role in coordinating training and awareness programs, informing staff about safety procedures and environmental regulations.
You also investigate incidents and accidents, prepare reports, and make recommendations to prevent recurrence. You are responsible for managing documentation and registrations related to quality controls, safety efforts, and environmental performance. You are constantly looking for improvements in processes, procedures, and systems to strengthen overall QHSE performance. This is done in close collaboration with various departments, including Purchasing, Production, Engineering, and Service.
You are part of the QHSE sub-team, an integral part of the larger Continuous Improvement team within the Organization Support department. In this role, you work closely with the Quality Manager and Process Designer. The Continuous Improvement team further includes a Program Manager, Project Managers, Application Managers, and a BI Developer. Together with your colleagues within the QHSE team and the broader Organization Support department, you are committed to promoting a quality culture within EuroSort.
Job requirements
- Completed higher professional education (technical) Business Administration, Safety Management, Engineering, or equivalent
- Proven experience in a similar role within the machine construction sector or a related industry
- Experience with working with certifications
- Experience with structured problem solving (5 Whys, 8D) is a plus
- Lean Green Belt is a plus
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations regarding quality, health, safety, and environment
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and solve complex problems
- The ability to work effectively with different stakeholders at all levels within the organization
- Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written
- Initiative, structured, and good adaptability and perseverance
