Vacancy

Acquisition based on this advertisement is not appreciated. We usually fill the vacancies ourselves and in exceptional cases we work with preferred suppliers.

As a Proposal Engineer at EuroSort, you are responsible for converting the customer's request into a layout of the total system in AutoCAD 2D and/or Inventor. You use input from the Sales Representative, who uses the created layout as a basis for the quote to the end customer. You also use the layout to create project calculations. After making the basic design, you remain involved, implement revisions, and increase the level of detail of the layout as the sales process approaches the final phase.

You work on multiple projects simultaneously and support the Sales Representatives in the Netherlands, Germany, and Spain. If necessary, you request modules from external suppliers - with the help of the Procurement department - such as compressors, box sealers, strappers, and conveyors. You also support the Sales Representatives and the Marketing department in creating sales support materials, such as brochures and materials for trade shows. Since the role and selling of sorting systems are internationally European oriented, visiting customers together with the Sales Representatives is certainly a possibility.

You are part of the Sales Support team in the Marketing and Sales department. In addition to you, this team includes another Proposal Engineer and Sales Representatives in the Netherlands, Germany, and Spain. The team is led by the Head of Sales, who is also your supervisor. You also work with colleagues from the Procurement department to request project modules from external suppliers based on the right specs.

If you enjoy working on varied projects and liaising with different parties to do this and find it challenging that all processes within the organisation are not yet optimally structured, then this is a job for you.

Firsthand experience

You are working on a project to develop standard solutions for installations. How do you proceed?

In order to serve customers more efficiently, you think about how parts can be standardised and how you can develop standard solutions in this way. You will contribute to this by thinking about possibilities for this during your work, but you will also be offered various training sessions to expand your knowledge. In addition, you will have the opportunity to see what solutions ultimately look like for customers in the demo centre and, based on this, gather input for possible improvements.

Marco Vonk - Purchaser

Why did you decide to work for this company?
I started in 2011 as an Engineer at EuroSort. In addition, I did project-related purchases. Due to the dynamic growth of EuroSort, I have gradually started to concentrate and professionalize myself more in the field of purchasing. Partly because the organization feels great, from which we get satisfaction together, this is a huge stimulus to develop myself further and to keep the enthusiasm high. This is an advantage of EuroSort for me!
