Vacancy

Acquisition based on this advertisement is not appreciated. We usually fill the vacancies ourselves and in exceptional cases we work with preferred suppliers.

As a Senior Recruiter at EuroSort, you are responsible for the entire recruitment process, from vacancy intake to contract offers. Together with Hiring Managers, you discuss the job posting and try to understand exactly what they are looking for, as well as the responsibilities and duties of the position. Based on this vacancy intake, you create a job profile. Then, you approach (latent) job seekers through personal InMails and phone calls, as well as through LinkedIn Recruiter Seat. You also think about other ways to excite the target audience, such as attending job fairs and placing advertisements.

You are the first point of contact for applicants, and you select potential candidates based on personality and competencies. You conduct introductory meetings in which you discuss the organization and the role being applied for. While searching for candidates and conducting interviews, you continuously refine the Hiring Manager's expectations. You advise Hiring Managers and ensure clear expectation management about what is and is not possible. Once a suitable candidate is found, you negotiate the employment terms and ensure that a contract is offered.

As a Senior Recruiter, you are responsible for recruiting not only operational functions but also for recruiting HBO+ functions. You also guide Junior Recruiters within the team. Additionally, strengthening Employer Branding and Talentpooling falls under your responsibility.

You are part of the Recruitment Team, along with another Recruiter. You also work closely with HR Advisors, to whom you report.

If you like to make people enthusiastic about EuroSort and bring them into the organisation, and you don't mind that an application process doesn't always turn out the way you had hoped, then this is a job for you.

Working week

Senior Recruiter

On an enjoyable working day, your responsibilities vary: you conduct a successful introductory interview and together with a Hiring Manager you draw up a new job profile.

On a less enjoyable working day, you have to update a lot of administration and you are told that a candidate has accepted an offer elsewhere. This is hard to swallow, but it's part of the job.

Firsthand experience

A Hiring Manager asks for advice about a very ambitious candidate. How do you proceed?

Since you have been present at one or more interviews with the candidate, you can find your own notes about the candidate in the recruitment system. It is indeed a very ambitious candidate who would like to grow quickly within the organisation. The Hiring Manager is very enthusiastic about this and will eventually make the final decision whether or not to hire the candidate. As a Recruiter it is your job to provide the Hiring Manager with high quality and honest advice. In this case you explain that hiring a very ambitious candidate also involves thinking about whether the ambition of the candidate can be met in the department concerned. For this, a clear development plan must be made for the candidate and it must be clear what growth is and is not possible. You present these and other considerations to the Hiring Manager, who can use them in his or her final decision.

Growth

EuroSort considers personal development very important. That's why there are many opportunities to attend education, training and courses. At the moment EuroSort is developing a training policy to make this more concrete.

Sjoerd van Schie - Mechanical Installation Coordinator

Why did you decide to work for this company?
I already worked freelance for this company as an installation supervisor and was asked to do the coordination. It is a young dynamic company that is active worldwide: as a mechanic this gave me the opportunity to travel while working. In this way I gained some nice experiences and now I supervise the installations.

What was your previous job?
Freelance mechanic/assembly supervisor, elevator mechanic and animal caretaker.

What do you do in your spare time?
Fishing.

Wiebe de Jong - Manager TECH

Why did you decide to work for this company?
I started as an intern (Engineer) when the company only had a few employees (almost nineteen years ago). The type of company has always given me opportunities to develop and grow in the organization. It has never been boring as the company and product continues to evolve. The company is always open to new ideas.

What did you study?
Mechanical engineering.

What do you do in your spare time?
Hockey, Formula 1, enjoy drinks on a terrace and play sports.

Andre Meulman - PLC Software Engineer, Control department

Why did you decide to work for this company?
With a predilection for technology, I have always been looking for a working environment in which I have to deal with multiple techniques. At EuroSort, various systems come together in the control of the sorting installations. From controlling various sensors, actuators, motors and servo drives, to communication between different systems, such as servers, HMI and cameras.

What was your previous job?
PLC Software Engineer IA.

What do you do in your spare time?
In my spare time I enjoy doing water sports or hiking.

Marco Vonk - Purchaser

Why did you decide to work for this company?
I started in 2011 as an Engineer at EuroSort. In addition, I did project-related purchases. Due to the dynamic growth of EuroSort, I have gradually started to concentrate and professionalize myself more in the field of purchasing. Partly because the organization feels great, from which we get satisfaction together, this is a huge stimulus to develop myself further and to keep the enthusiasm high. This is an advantage of EuroSort for me!
