Job description

As a Business Developer, you are the driving force behind our sales engine. Your focus will be on generating new leads, reaching out to potential customers, and developing those initial contacts into serious business opportunities. You’ll work closely with our Sales Managers and the Marketing department to make it happen.

You’re not discouraged by a “no,” you ask the right questions, and you know exactly when to push forward. You have a great sense of timing and a sharp ear for what’s happening in the market. From your position, you’ll influence EuroSort’s commercial direction—both short- and long-term.

In addition to lead generation, you’ll conduct market research several times a year, looking into trends, customer needs, and emerging developments. The insights you gather help EuroSort determine whether we’re on the right path or need to make strategic adjustments.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new leads through phone, online channels, events, and social media

  • Approach and follow up with leads, mainly across Northwestern Europe

  • Identify decision-makers and map customer structures

  • Develop leads into qualified prospects

  • Collaborate with Sales Managers on market opportunities and business development strategies

  • Give presentations or attend client visits when necessary (e.g., in case of language barriers)

  • Follow up on leads from trade shows and events with sales and marketing

  • Manage leads and prospects in the CRM and report via PowerBI

  • Conduct market research and create market reports

  • Contribute ideas and content for marketing and sales materials

Job requirements

  • A completed vocational (MBO) education, preferably with an affinity for technology and/or logistics

  • At least 1 year of experience in a commercial (B2B) role, preferably in material handling or capital goods

  • Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office 365

  • Strong command of English; German or other European languages are a plus

  • You’re commercially minded, organized, curious, and customer-focused

  • You’re bold, independent, and proactive

  • You’re a great listener and remain composed when facing resistance

What We Offer

  • A gross monthly salary between €3,000 and €5,500 depending on knowledge and experience

  • Performance-based bonus plan

  • Attractive pension scheme

  • 30 vacation days (based on full-time employment)

  • A 32 to 40-hour work week with flexible hours

  • Company laptop and phone (also for personal use)

  • Room for professional growth through training, courses, and education

  • Work in an informal team with short lines of communication and lots of autonomy

  • Daily fresh fruit, Friday afternoon drinks, and monthly team lunches
